The Centre for Graphene Science aims to bring together highly motivated and skilled people to build internationally leading teams in graphene research. At its heart are the Universities of Exeter and Bath in the South West of the United Kingdom. Together they provide state-of-the-art equipment and high-quality research environments. The Centre is also the hub of an international network of leading institutions working on graphene as well as industry.

The research of the Centre focusses on:

• production and nanofabrication methods;
• experimental and theoretical studies;
• new electronic, optical and mechanical devices.

The work of the Centre is highly interdisciplinary encompassing elements of Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology and Medicine.
